Birmingham ultimately is me. While that may be bold to say, I feel it is hard to separate myself from the city I was born in. When I took my first trip out of Alabama, I was surrounded by the mountains in the west. I couldn’t help thinking while those were beautiful, the green covered mountains and hills surrounding my neighborhood were prettier. While flying back home, I remembered the several planes flying over my house. I imagined the plane flying over my house similarly to the last piece of a jigsaw puzzle sliding into place.
