Kwoya Fagin Maples is a writer from Charleston, S.C. She received her MFA in Creative Writing from the Univ. Of Alabama. Her poetry collection, Mend (Univ. Press of Kentucky, 2018) was awarded as a finalist for the Hurston Wright Legacy Award and the Housatonic Poetry Award in 2019.
